Librarian
Zeau Modig has been involved with public and technical services in special and public libraries, as well as STEM scholarly publishing, for over 30 years.
She has worked with Elsevier (New York and Amsterdam) and the International Food Information Service (U.K.). There she provided customer assistance and training for medical and corporate librarians, academic and scientific researchers, government agencies, and publishing marketers throughout the USA and Canada, providing research support for clinical, business and regulatory affairs in the biomedical, pharmaceutical and food industries.
As a frontline information professional, she has been Associate Librarian at Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s national headquarters in New York and Director of Riegelsville Public Library in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, serving both specialized and diverse library user communities.
She has also been as an independent technical consultant to the information industry. Zeau has written extensive technical and consumer-oriented database documentation and marketing literature and has presented at online industry conferences and the IIRP World Conference on information retrieval topics. Her decades-long commitment to providing high-quality customer service informs her current work in expanding research systems and tools that will support the ongoing growth of the IIRP Graduate School.
Zeau holds a B.A. in Historical Studies from Stockton State College and an M.L.S. from Rutgers University’s School of Communication, Information and Library Studies. She is certified as a Professional Librarian in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
