Founding Partners

Rick Shafer

Associate Director of Student Support and Accountability, Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI

Rick Shafer is one of the Collaborative Center’s Founding Partners. He is a two-time alum of Michigan State University (MSU).  In the 40 years since he became a resident assistant (RA) at MSU, Rick has supported faculty, staff, and students at Ball State University (1991-1994), Indiana University (1994-1998), Ferris State University (1998-2000), and Michigan State University (1985-1991; 2000-2025). His professional roles at these four universities included Hall Director, Community Director, Director of Student Judicial Services, Associate Director of Student Life, and Associate Director of Student Support & Accountability.

Robin Riley-Casey

Associate Dean of Students and Diversity Initiatives at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA

Robin is the Director of the Office of Multicultural Life (OML) and the Multicultural Center at Muhlenberg College. OML is the hub of cultural exchange, supporting 18 affinity groups, including community advocacy groups and ethnic/racial, gender/sexuality, and alternative arts communities. In her role, Robin utilizes dialog, collaboration, and action to promote and facilitate cross-cultural learning communities. Robin serves on several Muhlenberg College committees: the President’s Diversity Advisory Council, Health and Wellness, and the Athletic Diversity Council. Robin currently serves on two local boards, New Bethany Ministries and Allentown West End Alliance. She previously served as an Allentown Human Relations Commissioner.

Christine Wilson

Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management at the University of Maine in Farmington, ME

For this Spotlight Interview, we are speaking with Dr. Christine Wilson, one of the Collaborative Center’s Founding Partners. Dr. Wilson has served as the Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management at the University of Maine Farmington since 2019. She has worked and taught in higher education for more than 30 years; before coming to Maine, she served as Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Director of Student Activities at the University of Connecticut and Assistant Director for Student Leadership in the Memorial Student Union at the University of Rhode Island. She also teaches Access, Persistence, and Retention and Budgeting and Finance in the Higher Education Administration doctoral program at New England College. Christine earned her BA and MS degrees from Indiana State University, and her Ph.D. from the University of Rhode Island / Rhode Island College joint PhD program in Education. In addition, she earned certificates in Student Affairs Law and Policy (NASPA) and Restorative Practices (IIRP Graduate School) and is a restorative practices trainer.

Greg Meyer

Dean for Community Wellness at Moravian University in Bethlehem, PA

Greg Meyer, one of the Collaborative Center’s Founding Partners. Greg is the Dean for Community Wellness at Moravian University in Bethlehem, PA. In this role, Greg oversees the departments of Student Accountability & Conflict Transformation, chairs the Threat Assessment and Behavior Intervention Teams (for students and employees), and supervises the directors of the Counseling Center, the director of Disability & Accommodations, and the Health Center coordinator. Greg is also a member of the institution's Campus Climate Education Team and works collaboratively to support Mo's Cupboard, a resource pantry designed to meet students’ basic needs. Greg earned a B.A. in Music from Lehigh University and an M.Ed. in College Student Personnel Administration from James Madison University. Greg discusses how he has integrated restorative practices comprehensively into his numerous processes.
