Instructor
Peter Heineman has been an urban elementary, middle and high school educator for over 30 years. He currently works at Green Street Academy in West Baltimore where he teaches social studies, coordinates restorative practices and is a member of the Instructional Leadership Team.
Leadership and student motivation have always fascinated Peter. Within the Philadelphia and Baltimore school systems, Peter has served as a content lead teacher, mentor to early career teachers, curriculum writer and coordinator, Instructional Support teacher and professional development trainer. He owned and operated MotivatED, a practical staff development organization that researches and implements ideas to cultivate student motivation.
Peter earned his bachelor’s degree at Temple University and a Master in Human Resources with an Administration Certificate at Towson University.
Peter enjoys eating good food, competing and watching competition, and spending time with his wife and two children.
