Director of Graduate Enrollment and Student Success

Kristen Webber, M.A.T., is Director of Graduate Enrollment and Student Success for the IIRP Graduate School. In this role, she directly supports our students, leads student success initiatives, and oversees all student recruitment and retention initiatives. She is committed to ensuring that our students feel successful, fulfilled, and like the important and intelligent people that they are.

Like so many of her colleagues and our students, Kristen was a first-generation college student. She is deeply inspired by our students as people, and she enjoys being someone our students can lean on because they are often the people others are leaning on.

Kristen is particularly passionate about language and linguistics – the ways in which we communicate with each other and why – and the transformation of language over time. She speaks English and French fluently, and a little bit of Korean at home with her husband. She has experience teaching English to undergraduates at the Université de Toulouse – Jean Jaurès in Toulouse, France, and teaching undergraduate French (101, 102, and conversation) at UMass Amherst.

Kristen holds a Master of the Arts in Teaching (French) from UMass Amherst and a Bachelor of the Arts in English and Foreign Languages from Eastern Illinois University. She also earned a Graduate Certificate in Restorative Practices from the IIRP.
