Courtney Tobin, Ph.D.

Lecturer

Dr. Courtney Tobin is a social scientist and statistician with over 15 years of experience in educational analytics and assessment. She is an expert in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, utilizing both in her research and in support of students. Her current research is focused on queer communities, identities, and how community and service to our community impact our personal sense of identity. She has served as an institutional research and assessment professional at the IIRP Graduate School for eight years, developing a deep understanding of restorative practices in research and practice.

Courtney holds a doctorate in the interdisciplinary field of Community Engagement from Point Park University. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Ramapo College of New Jersey, her Master’s in Psychology from Montclair State University, and a Graduate Certificate in Restorative Practices from the IIRP Graduate School, all with a focus on research methods, social psychology, de/humanization, and queer community.
