Karen is the co-founder of Collaborative School Culture (CSC), which partners with schools to strategically integrate restorative practices, develop systems and procedures for healthy culture and climate, implement behavioral interventions, and increase family engagement. Karen has been a leader in k-12 education and residential programs for children with behavioral health challenges in Philadelphia for over 25 years. She has been using restorative practices for 15 years, most deliberately at a large urban school network where she helped build the RP procedures, training, practices, coaching, and evaluation across 24 schools. Alongside her passionate and purposeful colleagues, she has meaningful, data-informed successes as well as the myriad of lessons learned that shaped them.
