Associate Professor

Dr. Alia Sheety brings extensive expertise in research and pedagogy to the IIRP. She teaches the course, RP 610 Evaluation of Research, which prepares students to become critical consumers of published research. An Arab-Israeli coming from a conflict zone, she has been involved in several initiatives to foster collaboration between Arab- and Jewish-Israeli teenagers and so brings a unique perspective to her position. Passionate about restorative practices, she is trained as a trainer in these practices.

Alia has presented at numerous national and international conferences, including the Annual Conference on Higher Education Pedagogy, the Peace and Justice Studies Association Conference and the International Conference on Online Learning. She has published several book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles. She is also an Associate Professor of Education and Program Coordinator at Cabrini University.

Alia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Hebrew Linguistics and Education, a Master of Arts in Education - Curriculum and Management and a Master in Business Administration from University of Haifa, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from Arizona State University.
