IIRP Courses

Our participatory classes address all types of learning styles, employing readings, lecture, reflection, videos, role-play, discussion, group exercises and case study. Coursework includes necessary face-to-face instruction as well as online instruction to offer you greater flexibility. You will:

  • Learn concepts and practices you can use immediately.
  • Enjoy a course workload that's meaningful and reasonable.
  • Gain essential skills to be more effective in your work.
  • Have an opportunity to study with the knowledgeable, experienced and caring IIRP faculty.
  • Be able to earn PA Act 45, PA Act 48 and NJ DOE Professional Development credits.
  • Join a worldwide network committed to advancing restorative practices.

Flexibility to fit your needs

Convenient for the working professional, most classes are offered on a whole-day basis (8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.) to minimize the time and cost of commuting:

  • on weekends during the year
  • as intensive daylong summer courses
  • most courses have online components to minimize your classroom hours
  • some weekday evening courses will be offered based on interest

Classes are offered at:

  • our Bethlehem Campus in downtown historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
  • as well as through licenses and affiliates’ professional development events

Registration information

Courses start at various times during the term. You may register anytime until a few days before classes start, but space may be limited. (A late registration fee may apply.) When registration is complete, you will gain online access to required books and readings and other course information.

Financial support

To make graduate studies affordable to professionals interested in learning more about restorative practices, the Restorative Practices Foundation offers a variety of ways to help you:

  • Scholarships: Offset the cost of study by applying for a Pay-It-Forward Scholarship.
  • Low-interest loans: The IIRP’s interest rate is substantially lower than the federal loan interest rate.
  • Contact us about a special rate for FN 500 Basic Restorative Practices.
